About 150 years ago early photographers coated plates with silver halide solutions and expose these to light to form images. The silver halide grains (once fixed) retained the image, recording this for posterity as a series of grains of time
Although the chemical process has now been replaced by the more familiar digital recording method, exposure time, grain size (or sharpness) are still part of the picture making considerations We just use different methods to capture the photons and develop the image.
The images on this site journal the travels, projects and life experience of the last 40 or so years of my adventure with photography. Many are available for digital or print use and can be purchased though the on line shop or contacting me directly.
